Moose Hide Campaign

The Moose Hide Campaign is a grassroots movement of Indigenous and non-indigenous men and boys who are standing up against violence towards women and children. Wearing this moose hide signifies your commitment to honour, respect, and protect the women and children in your life and to work together with other men and boys to end violence against women and children. The Moose Hide Campaign provides the moose hide patches, pins and information cards at no cost. They are asking that you show your support for this campaign by ordering pins, pledging your support, registering to fast, or just to donate. All they ask in return is not to sell them for any amount for any amount of money, and that you let them know about the impact of the Moose Hide Campaign in your life, community or work-place.

Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region

Over the past year, the many inequalities in our society were further highlighted and we were reminded that home is not safe for everyone. At one point during the extended lock-down, we had 26 children at one of our shelters. This year we ask for your help as we continue to see an increase in domestic violence rates and a greater demand for our essential services. Nutritious food, a safe warm bed, caring staff and therapeutic support is provided. No one should feel unsafe in their home. Thank you for helping women and children move beyond violence. With much gratitude and wishes for wellness, Jennifer Hutton, Chief Executive Officer at Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region.
