The seminar, in its entirety, will be held at the Local’s Union Office in Kitchener, 27 Manitou Dr., Unit 2-C.
OUTLINE
A shop steward is an educator, advocate, communicator, workplace organizer and a leader. In these new and challenging times, these roles take on a new depth and dimension. This 2.5-day course will be taught by experienced union members. The goal is for Participants to get basic grounding in the collective agreement and particularly articles 9 and 10 in the urban and RSMC collective agreements. This Course can be a refresher for current shop stewards and a must for those interested in representing members as shop stewards in the R.S.M.C and URBAN groups.
