Brothers and Sisters,
Today I was informed that CPC has started to call our members with regards to their Child Care/Elder Care Special Leave. This process, including the form questions that they are asking, was was never consulted on with our National Office. I have informed CPC management locally to immediately cease calling our members. Since the Child Care Special Leave falls under the Family Status category this should be dealt with thru the Art. 54 Committee to review.
IF YOU ARE CONTACTED BY CPC YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO UNION REPRESENTATION AT THAT TIME!!!
You have the right to inform CPC that you will not answer any questions until a CUPW representative is made available as is guaranteed under the C/A!!
Please inform the Local Union if you have been contacted by CPC management with regards to this issue.
