A federal election has now been called for April 28, 2025. Although the Canadian Union of Postal Workers does not endorse any party, we will be putting pressure on candidates from all parties to commit to defending our public post office and good stable jobs.
What’s at stake
This election comes at a critical time for our Union as we fight for the future of our public post office. We can make it an election issue by talking about it to our friends and families, at labour councils, on the doorstep with candidates, at town halls and at candidates’ meetings.
Your vote matters
We know this election will be exceptionally close. It may come down to a handful of votes. Your vote will matter.
• You can register to vote here: https://ereg.elections.ca/en/ereg/index
• Some electoral boundaries have changed since the last election. You can check which electoral district you are in here: https://www.elections.ca/Scripts/vis/FindED?L=e&QID=-1&PAGEID=20
• The Union has also created a report card grading political parties on issues important to postal workers. You can view it here: https://www.cupw.ca/sites/default/files/Pre-Election_Report-Card_2025_e.pdf
We are 55000 strong and we have the power to make our votes count at the polls – especially in tight races.
Make your voices heard at the ballot box and vote!
In Solidarity!
